Self-taught artist Margaret Scheers works in a variety of non-traditional media. Mainly she works with fiber and  digital paintings, she also does a variety of mixed media works.

For a long time, Margaret worked full time as a computer programmer. Then for family reasons she decided to leave the work force. That decision allowed her the time to pursue her artistic interests.

She started working with digital art first. It was a reasonably easy transition from the work she had been doing and she was pleased with the quality of work she could create almost immediately.  In fact, she managed to put her work into several group shows at art galleries within a year of starting to work with digital art.

Margaret has also branched out at this point. She is creating works in fiber and she has also started working with collage and with rubber stamps. Her current investigations are into lace and photography.
